KINCAID SMITH WORKING OVERTIME
     Hepcat trumpetman Kincaid Smith is in two new bands, the first of which is Soul Traffic. In Soul Traffic, Kincaid sings, plays trumpet, keyboards, percussion, and has written several songs for the band. Kincaid shares the frontman duties with Aaron Reno.

     On Saturday, June 22nd, Soul Traffic will be performing at Molly Malone's in Los Angeles, California. Soul Traffic's set begins at 10pm and the club is located at 575 S. Fairfax Ave., Los Angeles, California, 90036. You'll have to be 21 and over to get in and there is a $5 cover charge. If you can attend, be sure to tell the door person you came to see Soul Traffic, so they can get booked there again.      Kincaid is also a member of Subway To Venus, who will also be performing on June 22nd, one hour earlier than Soul Traffic, at 9pm. Don't miss either performance! Thanks to Charmaine for the information!!

CLUB VINE PRESENTS SOULPHONIC
     In case you missed last month's update, Alex Desert's bar in Hollywood, California, entitled Vine, will be featuring a special night every Sunday called "Soulphonic." Each Sunday, Soulphonic will spin the best of '60s soul, bossa, funk and ska musics, and is being promoted by Alex Desert and Leslie Nash. From time-to-time, Soulphonic will feature special guest DJs, and June 9th, visitors to Vine were treated to the stylings of Uncle Tim from KXLU's "The Bomb Shelter" and Matt Parker from The Donkey Show.

     The Vine is located at 1235 N. Vine St. in Hollywood, with doors opening at 7pm for dinner and no cover charges. For more information, you can call Vine at (323) 960-0800. Below is a flyer promoting Soulphonic.
